the secret garden. don't be deceived by the flowers, the pastel colors, or the cute girly girl layout. this is not what it seems. this is the place where i go to rant and sometimes rave. it's also the home of some of my works. welcome to my sanctuary. welcome to my secret garden.

teedge. the keeper of the garden. chances are, i'm the only person in this world with that name. so, am i a boy or a girl? the layout of this site pretty much gives it away. i'm turning 17 next year. yes, in my dreams. i'm into arts and crafts but i'm far from being a martha stewart. i'm also into music. want to know me more? read this.

My brother and I went out yesterday to watch the Spy Kids film. I've seen a 3D film before and I thought my brother would like to see one. Man! It was a disappointment. It wasn't at all *that* 3D. The one I saw at the Sony Metreon was way cooler as you could actually see the images pop up right infront of your face, making you want to reach out and grab it. Well, it should with a price of almost $10. The Spy Kids 3D film wasn't like that at all. The 3D aspect was inward not outward, meaning, the dimension is shown through the screen not out of the screen. Did that make sense? Excuse me while I rant. Well, I just wanted to share that bit for those who are planning to watch it. I wish we watched Curse of the Black Pearl instead. At least I'm guaranteed an eye candy in the form of Orlando Bloom. Haha!   5:39 PM

I saw Glory Daze on cable last night. It's an old film that stars Ben Affleck. The story took place in Santa Cruz and watching it made me remember the time I was there, which was 2 years ago. Yup! I was in Cali 2 years ago. Those were great times... Anyway, the scene where they were walking along the Boardwalk was really cool since I've been there. Yes, reminiscing. Tsk tsk. The cotton candy there was awesome! But the weather... Man! The weather! The weather was nothing I expected! I thought it would be all summery warm beachy but NO! It was cold! Freezer cold! The wind was unforgivingly cold! So, there I was. In my tank top and shorts, shivering to death while pretending to be all warm. I spent most of the day walking on the beach, sand between my toes, under direct dunlight to warm me up. Needless to say, it was a rude awakening. Hehe!   10:54 AM

I'm in a Collective Soul, Spandau Ballet, and a dash of Depeche Mode kind of mood. I downloaded all the songs I can remember like a complete maniac the other night. I sat in front of the computer like a watch dog, monitoring any movement in the progress indicator while clicking obsessively on the accelerate button. After 3 hours, I got tired. Darn my slow internet connection! Anyway, I've got the songs I want now so I can't complain. Nyahaha!

My Winamp playlist now consists of:
1. Depeche Mode - It's No Good
2. Depeche Mode - Home
3. Spandau Ballet - Gold
4. Spandau Ballet - Only When You Leave
5. Spandau Ballet - True
6. Collective Soul - Perfect Day
7. Collective Soul - Gel
8. Collective Soul - December
9. Colective Soul - Shine
10. Collective Soul - The World I Know
11. Collective Soul - Precious Declaration

Playlists are bound to change...   12:02 PM

I just had some candy floss. Candy floss, you ask? It's cotton candy. I was just informed by my good friend that it's called candy floss in Belgium, er, was it Denmark? Anyway, my hands are a bit sticky as I'm typing this. I'm stuffing the cotton candy in my mouth like a mad man because it's raining. What's the connection? Well, since it's raining, the air's kind of humid. I don't want the cotton candy to get all gooey and sticky cause of the humidity. Well, I'm just blah-blah-blah-ing away. Excuse me.   12:49 PM

I'm talking movies.

I saw The Italian Job at the cinema last night. I must say, it was good but not *that* original. It reminded me of Ocean's Eleven and The Score. You have the computer wiz, the pretty girl, the funny dude, and the hotshot. Oh! And the double crosser. Isn't it funny that Edward Norton just keeps on double crossing his partners but he always ends up losing? Hehehe! Anyway, I can't blame them for having a "recycled" plot. It's the 21st century. Original concepts are slowly becoming nothing more than improvements of exisiting ones. The way they executed the plot was cool though. You know, the tricks and planing and stuff. And oh! The car! The part that I found so interesting was the 3 minis racing around. The minis were really cool but for Stereophonics fans out there, it was reminiscent of one of their videos. I forget which one.

I just saw Finding Forrester on cable. The bit that I want to share was the ending bit. Remember the awesome remake of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" which we first heard in the soundtrack of Meet Joe Black? They used the same song for their closing credits. I can't believe it. Same song. Same version. Same movie part. Different movie. Just a bit of trivia. I can't blame them. After all, it is a lovely song.   4:01 PM

I finally got to eat some risotto the last week. I've always been curious as to how it tastes. I always watch cooking shows and they always rave about it. I figured it's about time I find out for myself. Well, the risotto I had had mushrooms in it. It was quite good actually. It was really rich. I think it's the Italian version of the Chinese fried rice, only the risotto is richer as butter is added. I really like it.

Anyway, I haven't written much in a very long time. Right now, I've got a bit of a headache and my right arm is a bit tender. We got influenza shots yesterday so the spot is still a bit sensitive. I guess it didn't help that I actually slept on it, on the arm I had the shot administered. Oh well...

I spent my weekend reformatting my computer. My IE wasn't working properly. What good is my computer if I can't actually surf the net, right? It took me almost a day to get things back in order. You know, backing up my mp3s, reinstalling and re-downloading programs, checking for viruses, etc. Now that my computer is working again, I find it so hard to install new programs for the sole reason that the hard drive is sooo clean, so clutter free. I don't want to mess it up again with useless programs and files. You know how it is. Hehehe!   1:00 PM
